powershot a590 by canon
originally owned by my friend, i had my eye on this camera for a while because i was a really big fan of the design, and this was also around the time i began my dive into photography as an interest. i ended up buying the camera off him for 20 bucks and a trade with a different camera i had owned a more expensive 1080p camera i had gotten for christmas.
the a series of canon powershots started their line as far back 1998 with the a5 model, and the last powershot models came out around with the release of the of the a4000 is model in 2012. my specific camera is from 2008, which considering the date is amazing as this camera has quite the impressive quality.
with a 8.0 mp and a max resolution of 3264 x 2448, this camera is crystal freaking clear, in most of my photos details- especially up close just look so clean and nice. the camera is quite literally point and shoot, its such a maliable camera too with a PLETHORA of options and settings to mess with. it's a great beginner camera with preset modes and everything- for stuff like portraits and whatnot. the camera also auto adjusts its brightness when switching to flash so you can properly hone in your setting before taking a photo, which i just find really helpful.
below are some example photos (however i have more on my flickr album here)
